Turbulence → flow

Same desk. Different month.

Drag the handle to see the difference a managed back office makes. The work does not disappear — it gets a place, an owner and a schedule.

Services

Everything the business side needs, managed.

Take one service or several. Each has its own page with what is included, how we work and answers to common questions.

How we work

Four steps, no mystery.

Every engagement follows the same arc — from listening to running the system with you. Scroll to move through it.

Step 01Weeks 1–2

Listen & diagnose

We start with a working session and a structured review of your numbers, processes and people. You get a short written diagnosis — what is working, what is not, and what matters most.

Step 02Weeks 2–4

Design the plan

Together we choose the few changes that will make the biggest difference, then turn them into a plan with owners, dates and a scorecard.

Step 03Months 1–3

Install the system

We do the work alongside your team: processes documented, tools configured, meetings started, people trained. Nothing is handed over until it runs.

Step 04Ongoing

Run & refine

We stay on to manage, measure and improve — monthly, weekly or a few days each week, depending on what the business needs.

What engagements look like

Typical problems. Practical fixes.

Illustrative scenarios based on the kinds of situations we are built for. Names and details are composites, not client testimonials.

Operations · Construction

A contractor that could finally take a vacation

A family-owned remodeling company with fourteen employees depends on the owner for every schedule and estimate. A typical engagement maps intake-to-invoice, writes eight core procedures, introduces a weekly operations meeting and hands scheduling to a trained coordinator.

Typical focus: scheduling, estimating, weekly cadence
Finance · Hospitality

A restaurant group that stopped guessing about cash

Two neighborhood restaurants close their books months late and are surprised by tax bills. The engagement catches up the books, sets a monthly close, builds a thirteen-week cash forecast and renegotiates three supplier agreements.

Typical focus: monthly close, cash forecast, supplier terms
Creative · Music

A touring musician with one place for everything

A working musician earns from royalties, session fees and touring through a loan-out company. The engagement sets up bill pay, logs every income stream, organizes the corporation’s records and gives the CPA a clean year-end package.

Typical focus: bill pay, royalty tracking, loan-out records
Leadership · Professional services

A growing firm with a real leadership team

A thirty-person services firm has strong managers who rarely meet. A fractional COO starts a weekly leadership meeting, sets a company scorecard and leads the move to a single project-management system.

Typical focus: leadership cadence, scorecard, systems
Formation · Retail

A second location opened without missed filings

A boutique retailer opens a second store in another city. The engagement coordinates the new registrations, seller’s permit, licenses and lease review with counsel, and builds a compliance calendar for both locations.

Typical focus: registrations, licenses, compliance calendar

Questions

Good to know.

See all questions

What does a business management firm do?

We manage the business side of a company — planning, operations, finances, people, compliance and systems — so the owner can focus on customers and the work itself. Depending on the client, that means a defined project, ongoing monthly management, or a part-time executive.

Who do you work with?

Owner-led businesses in North Hollywood, the San Fernando Valley and greater Los Angeles, typically from a handful to around seventy-five employees, as well as creative professionals and small production companies.

How do engagements work?

Most clients start with a free consultation and a short diagnostic. From there we propose either a fixed-scope project or a monthly retainer with a clear list of responsibilities.

How much do your services cost?

Pricing depends on scope. Projects are quoted at a fixed fee, and ongoing management is a predictable monthly retainer. We provide a written proposal before any work begins.

Do you replace our CPA, attorney or IT provider?

No. We work alongside your licensed professionals and make their work easier. If you do not have one, we can introduce trusted advisors.
